Rents & Charges

Rent becomes due on Mondays and is payable every week. There are a range of payment methods to choose from (see left).

We also collect your rates together with your rent on behalf of Land and Property Services and they may be subject to annual increases. Wherever possible we will give you reasonable notice of an increase.

Problems paying your rent?

It is essential that you pay your rent. Non-payment of rent can lead to eviction. If you are experiencing difficulties with payment, contact your Housing Officer as soon as possible. We will do all we can to assist you in making arrangements to pay off the debt.

We have an Income Recovery Policy and Rent Arrears Procedure - available on request and you can talk to us in the strictest confidence to get advice. We also have a Welfare Advice Officer who, with your agreement, will try and assist you with rent arrears and other debts - this is a free and confidential service. Speak to your Housing Officer or your Community Assistant.

You can also contact other agencies eg Age NI, Citizens Advice Bureau and Advice NI.
