In response to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and following Government guidance for businesses in Northern Ireland, Habinteg Housing Association (Ulster) Ltd has implemented a number of measures which will remain in place until further notice.

Rent Payments and Money Issues
If you have concerns about managing your money, please contact us. Our Homes & Communities Team are able to support you and link you into expert money guidance. Many of our tenants have already contacted us and have been helped to find ways to manage their money and deal with debt. Please don't sit and worry, just call us on 028 9042 7211 or 'click to get in touch' at the bottom of this page.

Our office based staff have been redeployed to work from home. All non-essential appointments, meetings and home visits have been cancelled. Our staff members are covering all core duties and providing essential services from remote working environments, in line with Government guidance, and operating under challenging circumstances. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these working conditions remain in place. When calling the office, please note the following:

An automated switchboard system will provide you with a number of options - please choose the option which corresponds to your enquiry (ie Housing Service related enquiry or Maintenance related enquiry). General enquiries are being picked up by administrative staff members and distributed to the relevant member of staff for response. Postal correspondence is likewise being redirected and forwarded to the relevant Team or Staff Member. We will endeavour to respond in accordance with our usual standards of service but please be aware that there may be some delay in response due to the nature of current working conditions.

Offices and Community Hubs
Our offices and reception areas in Holywood and Derry/Londonderry along with scheme offices, Community Hubs and communal facilities at Sheltered Schemes across Northern Ireland are closed to the public until further notice. In order to ensure Health and Safety measures for tenants, staff and contractors, we are reducing face-to-face contact to the absolute minimum required to continue delivering core services.

We may have closed our offices and public spaces but we're finding creative ways to support our communities in this period of isolation. Our Homes & Communities Team are happy to keep phone contact with you during these challenging times and we're using technology to organise and support social activities across Northern Ireland. Call us if you would like to take part of if you have an idea of your own to share with us. Read more HERE.

Housing with Support
All properties owned by Habinteg providing specialist Housing with Support services are managed by Partner Organisations. Please contact each organisation directly for their own guidance regarding visits and access. A list of our Supported Housing schemes can be accessed HERE, with links to each organisation website.

Our Asset Management team will be facilitating an URGENT and EMERGENCY REPAIR SERVICE only. In order to comply with current guidance, we will be implementing risk assessments prior to undertaking work and will need to carry out checks ahead of visiting any home or scheme. This will include asking a number of questions before we make a decision to complete a visit. Please do not be offended by this, our staff and our tenants and residents health is of paramount importance to us.

Planned Maintenance Works
All Planned Maintenance Works have been postponed. This includes heating upgrades, windows, doors and kitchen replacement programmes, insulation works and repaint schemes. Any works which have commenced, including kitchen replacements will be completed as soon as is possible within current government guidance. Please be assured that the safety and well-being of tenants, staff and contractors is of the utmost importance to us.
