New homes for Comber in our Anniversary Year

03rd July 2017

We are thrilled, in this our 40th Anniversary Year, to be handing over our newly completed development at Castle Street in Comber. There has been a huge interest in this stylish development in the heart of the town with hundreds of applicants for the 16 available properties. Today, the successful tenants move into the newly finished accommodation.

With site costs of £195,000 and a contract amount of £1.5 million, the development represents a significant investment in Comber. It has been warmly welcomed by the town’s residents and has received much praise for the way in which it complements the area’s improvement works. Sensitively designed by RPP Architects and built by Lowry Construction, the development features a mix of natural stone faced, two bedroom apartments and pastel hued, three and four bedroom town houses with rear courtyard parking.

The sympathetic reworking of this former retail site, and bringing the adjacent waste ground back into use, provides a tangible demonstration of development opportunities afforded in this area. Alongside the town’s retail, leisure and transport facilities, it is anticipated that the project will act as a catalyst for further private sector and public sector redevelopment in line with the town’s Public Realm works.

With work at the site now completed and the new residents collecting the keys to their front doors, Castle Street will now become the focus of family life for 16 households. We warmly welcome the new residents and wish them all happiness in their new homes.
