If your rent account is in arrears and you would like advice with payments and help with benefit claims and managing your debts, please contact your Housing Officer, using the contact details on the right.

Welfare Reform - Will it affect you?

The Government is reforming the Welfare and Benefits system. All benefit claimants, including those in receipt of Housing Benefit will be affected by these changes. Many changes have already been introduced and more are planned. Whilst future changes are largely still proposals, it is expected that they will come into force and you should be aware of the implications. For a detailed explanations of the proposals, please go to www.direct.gov.uk or check with Housing Rights and CAB (as above). You can also speak to your Housing Officer for advice and further information.
